The third Community Open House for the Civic Center Public Realm Plan took place on February 27, 2019 in the South Light Court of City Hall. Community members were invited to join in celebrating a major milestone for Civic Center and view the draft concept designs for Civic Center’s main public spaces, streets and gateways. Design team members were stationed around the room to answer questions and hear community feedback on the concept designs. Welcoming remarks by Planning Director John Rahaim, District 6 Supervisor Matt Haney and Recreation & Park Department General Manager Phil Ginsburg kicked-off the open house. In addition to reviewing the concept designs, those in attendance were able to enjoy artwork by the Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco—Tenderloin Clubhouse and performances by the San Francisco Cable Car Bell Ringers, San Francisco Jazz Center and Parangal Dance Company. Feedback on the concept design will be integrated into a Plan document to be released in Mid-2019. Approximately 140 people attended the Open House. Thank you to all who were able to make it!
